Assistant Accountant/Account Assistant Excellent Package Great Working Environment Upto £32,000 Basic We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our client for an excellent Car Dealership Group. This role is available as they have recently opened a new site. This is a fantastic role for a commercially minded, motor trade experienced, accounts person ready to step up to the next level, or an existing Assistant Accountant to join their account's function. This is a role where you will work closely with the Financial Controller and Dealership Accountant, making a real difference to the operational performance while ensuring all financial control and accounting processes are in place. Your focus will be on the day-to-day overseeing of the financial health of 2 sites. Assist with balance sheet control and risk/audit management, Ensuring inventory checks meet internal requirements, Managing working capital and ongoing cost reviews. Purchase and sales Ledger The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role in the motor industry and will be equally adept at sole working as well as working with and supervising a small team. What does a typical day/week/month involve? Daily Liaise with local management as well as divisional and group-level accounting staff to ensure a consistent approach. Manage risk and working capital matters. Ensure all accounts office tasks have been completed in an accurate and timely manner. Weekly Bad debt provision reporting & review. Manufacturer bonus debt reconciliations Monthly Assisting with the production of management accounts as required by the dealership leadership team, dealership accountant & group finance. Calculate and post accruals and prepayments. Demo write-down Fixed Asset depreciation Composite submission to the Brand Monthly Performance Review meeting file - supporting documentation preparation.
