As a Shop Foreperson, You Will: Manage the day-to-day operations of the shop Supervise all shop staff; through mentoring, coaching and accountability, provide leadership to all shop staff Ensure that all work is performed safely, cost effectively and in a timely manner Implement and follow a cost-effective preventive maintenance program for all equipment (and facilities as applicable) Manage parts inventory; ensure timely and effective acquisition of materials; minimize on-hand inventory Ensure that the 6S shop and surrounding grounds are clean and always organized Liaise with Operations Supervisors and drivers in a professional and team-oriented manner Maintain all equipment records and files Always ensure compliance of CMMS and is accurate and complete Ensure PM/ Planned work compliance and PO compliance is adhered to May be required to (in a limited capacity) fill in for the Shop Superintendent when necessary What You'll Bring: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in shop and strong technical knowledge of equipment Licensed Truck and Coach Technician (310T) Minimum valid class 5 driver’s license Heavy Equipment License an asset CMMS knowledge Strong self-management and organizational skills and the ability to work well unsupervised Must be a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of word, excel and.
