Job Title: Production Operative / Operator Location: Welwyn Garden City Salary: GBP22,630 (GBP10.88 per hour) + GBP3,305 shift allowance + potential overtime + generous bonuses Job Type: Full time, Permanent Working Hours: Hours of work are a 2: shift system 06.00 : 1400/13.30 : 21.30 alternate weeks. Occasional weekend work paid as overtime may be required. Ecobat Resources (formally British Lead) started production in Welwyn Garden City in 1932 and is home of one of the UKs most advanced rolling mills, state: of: the: art robotic finishing lines and the UKs largest recycling facility for Lead recovered from construction demolition. Decades of experience combined with the latest technology makes us unique and distinctive and ensures the Rolled Lead Sheet we produce meets the strict tolerances of British Standard BS EN 12588 using 100 recycled raw material. Two rolling mills give us the capacity to produce over 30,000 tonnes of Rolled Lead Sheet annually. The Company is registered to BS EN ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), BS EN ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental) BS EN ISO 45001:2018 (Health and Safety) BS EN ISO 50001:2018 (Energy). About you: The successful candidate will form part of the Production Team and with training given, operate Robots, Automatic Saw Lines and Overhead Cranes. Applicants should be fit, have an aptitude for manual work. This is a permanent position, which would suit a reliable person to fit into our Metals Manufacturing Operation. Applicants will have the ability to work on their own initiative and have a good attitude to Teamwork as well as good Health and Safety awareness. A fork truck Licence would be advantageous, but not essential as training will also be given.
