Our client, Winkler Meats, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Director to join their rapidly growing organization! As part of the planned expansion of their facilities, they will be doubling size of their workforce. This new role is a fantastic opportunity for an HR Director who is looking for a very rewarding challenge with an established company as Winkler Meats approaches their 60th year in business. If you think you have what it takes to be a part of this flourishing organization please read on! The HR Director reports to the President and will be responsible to manage/oversee the HR team and provide HR support to the leadership team. In addition to recruitment, retention and onboarding, the HR Director will be responsible for spearheading strategic learning and development initiatives, policy review and development, and will be responsible for the delivery of the various projects. Some of the HR Director responsibilities include: Lead recruitment initiatives, including foreign recruitment Develop and implement new company policies Train hiring managers and HR staff on how to select, manage, evaluate, and retain diverse employees Implement and develop organizational development programs and projects, such as change management, team engagement, welcoming and onboarding, recognition, appreciation of contribution, etc. Build strong relationships with key managers within lines of responsibility Provide guidance to leaders for all phases of the performance and reward cycle including annual reviews, calibration, goal setting and reward planning Provide a proactive HR consultation service to all managers advising them on any issues that may arise in their teams Provide coaching, advice and approval for employee relations, performance management and terminations Ensure compliance with applicable employment and labor laws-provincial and federal Identify and facilitate process improvement projects to drive recruitment efficiency.
