WE'RE LOOKING FOR A COST ACCOUNTANT Location: Fort Erie, ON Reporting to the Controller, the Cost Accountant is responsible for maintaining inventory valuations and margin analysis on all Airbus Helicopters Canada Limited products. The Cost Accountant must maintain and update the key parameters required for SAP to ascertain the value and reporting of inventories as well as the product lines used in sales reporting for instance mass creation of WBS elements for DCR and blades. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Review & Prepare Margin Analysis Reports on all Products/Services Collect all data to determine business costs on products and services Generate a detailed Margin Analysis on Aircraft Completions, MRO and Spare Generate a detailed Margin Analysis on Manufacturing Program Review the Gross Margins on all product lines and conduct an in-depth analysis on unusual transactions or significant variances Verify that all material requirements of the project are issued while valid outstanding requirements are accrued. Ensure that the reported revenue and costs are in line with aircraft type or model Review, investigate, and reconcile Inventory Assist in preparation for WIP and stock counts Reconcile monthly the WIP and Inventory sub-ledgers to GL accounts Monitor and review quarterly status of work orders with the Planners and Production Supervisors Month-End Journal Entries and Reporting Related to Sales and Cost of Sales Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation and provisions, inventory roll forward Create journal entries and Summary of cost accruals Prepare and monitor account reconciliations for inventory and cost accrual accounts, ensure timely resolution accruals Update & Review SAP information Create Control ID's for Aircraft completions and Repair & Overhaul projects Assign and create work centre codes as required by planning and production departments Control the Inventory Class Codes and map against appropriate.
