The role: Reporting to the COO, the Procurement and Contracts Specialist is responsible for contract negotiations, strategic sourcing, and developing strong relationships with suppliers. You will work closely with the leadership team as well as various departments to assist them in streamlining their procurement strategies and reducing inefficiencies. The ideal candidate for this role will have an Engineering degree, experience in an industrial manufacturing setting, strong negotiation skills, and impeccable attention to detail. You will excel in a multi-disciplinary team environment, working with internal and external stakeholders. Your main tasks will include: Managing the full life cycle of procurement for high-value industrial equipment: coordinating with Engineering to develop technical specifications; preparing RFPs and Purchase Order packages; pricing and terms negotiation, contract finalization. Implementing best practices for contract structuring, administration, and compliance with industry standards. Proactively managing financial, scope, and schedule risk: identification, mitigation, and escalation when required. Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key vendors.
