The Role The principle purpose of the role is to implement and develop the preventative maintenance regime for a discrete area of responsibility. The incumbent will provide the first level of engineering expertise and maintain equipment capability for their nominated area. Responsibilities of this role will also include, but are not limited to: : To maintain an intimate knowledge of the plant condition and performance through detailed running and stopped inspections, measurements and daily interaction with Team Members operating the plant: To repair immediately, or as soon as practical, all defects found or reported, either personally, with the assistance of other Engineering Inspectors or through direct instruction of others: To continually update, monitor and refine the maintenance regime in key Engineering systems and databases including the maintenance of detailed " fit for purpose" records and histories: To assist and carry out where appropriate the failure analysis process and implement practical cost effective solutions: To actively participate and implement solutions generated via problem solving activity, e. g. the Corrective Action Report Process, with a wide range of other personnel as appropriate: To ensure that the appropriate level and quality of spares requirement is identified and arrangements are in place to satisfy operational demands.
