Wealth management Operations Purpose The Senior Registered Plans Administrator is accountable for the various processes and procedures relating to Scotia Capital and SPCG (Scotiatrust) business lines operations of the various registered products offered including among others: Registered Retirement Savings, Registered Retirement Income Plans, including Locked-In plans. The incumbant’s primary focus will be to process Estate files for the various business lines servioced by Wealth Management Operations. This includes but not limited to SPCG (Client 191), Scotia i Trade and Scotia Mc Leod. Additional focus will be on Income Plans for all business lines as additional support to those Registered Plans staff currently processing these transactions. The incumbent must focus on ensuring that the various requirements are done to the highest standard as per regulatory requirements under the Income Tax Act (overseen by Canada Revenue Agency), various provincial acts and other regulatory bodies. Major Accountabilities: Estate files processing: The incumbent will be responsible for the processing of registered plans estate disbursements for the Scotia Private Client Group (SPCG- client 191, Scotiatrust) and Scotia Capital Inc. (Scotia Mc Leod and Scotia i Trade). The incumbent requires extensive knowledge of estate processing requirements of the various federal and provincial rules governing estate disbursement; including tax reporting requirements. The incumbent will require general knowledge of the Broadridge PLAN system, and specifically knowledge of the estate processing in the PLAN system. The focused duties of the position include (but are not limited to) the following: 1) Ensure all documentation requirements are followed for disbursements as per applicable federal and provincial legislation, and firm policy requirements. .
