The Role The Zund Operators are responsible for the maintenance of the large format cutting machines and the quality of the final product. Reporting to the Production Manager, the perfect candidate would be organized, a quick learner and interested in the technical aspects of machinery. This individual must be detailed and process-oriented and able to apply their critical thinking skills to solve problems. This role is a part-time role that will involve up to 25 hours per week scheduled as needed on evenings and weekends. What you’ll be doing: Brainstorm strategies to improve product quality, reduce production issues, Communicate openly with management about concerns regarding processes, equipment, software and/or employee issues and inventory needs Perform consistent and constant maintenance on the Zund machines Train other members of the Production Team when required Maintain a continuous workflow Troubleshoot common issues independently Learn from expert technicians to reduce additional outsourced repair costs Know when to solve problems independently and when to involve others Encourage safe and productive work behavior through example and communication Hold a strong understanding of workflows and process organization Assist with planning and executing the large format cut load on a daily basis Assist with research and development initiatives where required by team lead.
