The Junior Estimator role could be a perfect opportunity for a NEW GRADUATE - where we will introduce the successful candidate to the world of estimating & train from the ground up! What We Offer: Competitive salary Comprehensive benefit plan Enrolment in Pension Program Hybrid work model Vacation days and PTO days Family orientated working environment Opportunity for career growth and development Key Responsibilities: Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day Support Senior Estimator with preparation of detailed cost estimates, subcontractor management, and supplier/vendor management Prepare & maintain high quality, detailed, market value estimates of costs of materials, labor, and equipment for construction projects based Maintain quality of information in estimating database Review bid documentation / drawings to determine project scope requirements and to confirm technical requirements for estimate preparation Procure project materials per engineered drawings to meet specific schedule deadlines Liaise and consult with engineers and subcontractors to prepare adjustments to cost estimates Meet estimating goals set for the year Other duties as required What We Are Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field Minimum one (1) year experience estimating experience with expertise in Civil and Underground services is required Proficient in Microsoft Office (Visio, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) and Adobe Acrobat Excellent time-management and organizational skills, attention to detail, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
