Purpose The incumbent will manage the development, implementation and coordination of Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets (GBM) global and business line communications plans as well as provide support for regional communications, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Accountabilities • The incumbent champions and leads a customer-focused culture throughout the team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. • The primary portfolio of accountability includes: GBM global communications; Global Capital Markets business line communications; and GBM regional communications support. Other stakeholders may be included as the need arises. • Manages end-to-end process (communications strategy, development, and delivery) for all communications spanning the portfolio of accountability by: - Working closely with internal business partners, senior management and other key stakeholders to develop, write, edit and effectively execute communications aligned with GBM’s strategy, strategic initiatives and long-term vision. - Ensuring alignment of all communications with Global Communications and all-Bank plans and priorities. - Coordinating the delivery of communications to target audiences (internal and external). • Contributes to the plans and executions of internal and external communications across portfolio of accountability by: - Managing communications needs to support business partners across GBM. - Managing the development and execution of communications objectives for assigned initiatives, and contributing to concepts, ideas and programs as required. - Developing and editing communications materials (internal and external), business and regulatory updates.
