We invite applications for a specialist in Palliative Care at our Largo Medical Center.In collaboration with the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, we provide high-quality, patient-centered health care. Through this partnership, our physicians are part of an industry-leading health care delivery model, having access to advanced technological tools and receiving comprehensive practice support.MAPMG physicians are salaried, without the pressures of alternative payment models or fee-for-services. Our members have easy access to specialists and medical records, thus allowing you to treat the whole patient.What You Can Expect: * Conduct and support the interdisciplinary team in comprehensive palliative care assessments and care plan development. * Demonstrate exceptional commitment to equality, equanimity, and cultural sensitivity in the provision of palliative care services to a linguistically, ethnically, and racially diverse population. * Utilize prescriptive authority responsibly in treating complex symptoms including stewardship of opiates and controlled substances. * Delivery palliative care services using diverse methodologies including in-person, video, and telephonic consultation. * Demonstrate extra-clinical interest and engagement in initiatives to foster education, clinical ethics, team building, quality improvement, and clinical innovation. * Work-alongside the Medical Director to establish, root, and grow a nation-leading palliative care service line. Minimum Requirements: * MD or DO * Board Certified or Eligible in Hospice and Palliative Care * Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia * Work visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants.
