As Staff Internal Auditor, you will be part of an experienced team dedicated to providing independent, objective evaluations of company financial and operational business activities, ensuring Texas Mutual manages risks and maintains established control systems to implement its strategies. To achieve this, you will engage with management, risk, IT and other teams across the company. Responsibilities & Qualifications In this role, you will:Identify risks related to processes, regulatory compliance, organization, policies, technologies and company leaders and translates those risks into business issues.Conduct root cause analyze to identify any control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement for executive management's consideration.Plan projects , communicate and document project plans, including project initiation meetings, agreement documents, project scope and goals, subject to third-party review.Develop and use programs and procedures to address unique requirements of each project as identified by management.Coordinate project work with Office of General Counsel, Human Resources, Risk Officer or other groups to support project requirements and our goals.Comply with Institute of Internal Audit (IIA) Standards when working projects.Prepare comprehensive and complete audit reports for executive management (ie. Executive summaries, project reports).Perform testing and documentation of our key controls over financial reports to verify management's internal controls for Model Audit Reporting (MAR), resulting in regulatory financial attestations.Required Qualifications:Have a High School Diploma or equivalentHave at least two years related experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required skills to perform the essential job functions.Obtain an audit certification within 2 years after hire (eg. CIA, CFE, CISA).Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
