YOUR ROLE AS A CONTROLLER As the Full-Time Controller at Cramer Fish Sciences, you will play a vital role in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Your responsibilities will include executing financial reporting and KPIs to drive informed decision-making within the organization. Working closely with staff in the department and across the organization, you will leverage your problem-solving skills to provide answers, collaborate effectively, and offer support where needed. Your ability to navigate complex financial processes and drive operational efficiencies will be key to ensuring the company's continued success. WHAT MATTERS MOST To excel as the Full Time Controller at Cramer Fish Sciences, candidates must possess a strong proficiency in various software and tools essential for financial management. Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow analysis is crucial for success in this role. Additionally, experience in managing accounting and payroll staff, as well as leading process improvement initiatives in data collection, analysis, and reporting, is highly valued. The ability to effectively communicate and present financial information to management, along with skills in mitigating risk, will be key in driving the company's financial excellence and integrity. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Leads all accounting processes, ensures GAAP compliance, timely delivery of financial reports, and accurate results are delivered. Hires, supervises, leads, and promotes the development of a team of 5 working both in-office and remote. Leads financial report writing, system integration, data analysis, data collection, and process improvement initiatives. Responsible for cash management and ensures appropriate cash reserves. Leads and designs the annual budgeting process with all staff, providing resources, schedules, standards, and constructs the final budget and presents it to management. Creates and updates key performance indicators (KPI), financial forecasts, bi-weekly and monthly financial reports, income statements, balance sheets , in a timely manner, for executives, the Board of Directors and employee-owners. Coordinates with the VP of Operations to present financials to staff. Makes financial presentations to other various internal and external stakeholders. Identifies cost savings in contracted work and production, vendor/sub-consultant relationships, office operations, and employee management.
