Supervisor/Equipment Operator - FM Aggregate Pit Fort Miller has an exciting and rewarding opportunity at Fort Miller Aggregates, our pit located in Queensbury, NY. Our Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the facility. This includes heavy equipment operation to store/organize aggregates and load customers. This individual maintains the equipment including minor trouble shooting/repairs and preventative maintenance. He/she will also ensure compliance with all MSHA and DEC regulations, attend regular MSHA training and interact with inspectors from MSHA and DEC. There will also be daily interaction, coordination and consultation with our crushing subcontractor. Qualifications of our Supervisor/Equipment Operator include: At least five years of experience operating front end loader and other heavy equipment required. Five plus years working in an aggregate pit with crushing operation experience desired. MSHA certification and familiarity with DEC regulations preferred CPR / AED certified and Safety Trained Ability to work independently and without supervision Must have a professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills Honesty, integrity and a need for perfection Strong mechanical aptitude Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and housekeeping Basic computer skills Ability to multi-task and perform in an environment with constant interruptions . Ability to withstand exposure to extreme temperatures associated with working out of doors for long periods of time, access equipment at various levels by constantly reaching or climbing and withstand vibration associated with equipment operation. Ability perform heavy physical labor, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs. required.
