Job Description: Advise on large scale accounting engagements and providing clients with support in understanding and implementing new or complex accounting standards, such as acquisition accounting, fair value measurement, revenue recognition, and leasing. Provide transaction-related accounting and financial reporting support for transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, and other complex transactions. Provide technical support to public companies on SEC regulatory and reporting matters. Provide IPO readiness assistance. Participate in various engagements, including researching application of accounting standards to various transactions, assessing financial and governance processes, assisting with accounting framework transitions, and comparisons of different company practices for one or more following topics: Revenue Recognition, Financial Instruments, Impairment, Business Combinations, Leases, or another complex area of accounting/reporting under the above-mentioned accounting frameworks. Identify and foster long-term relationships with new and existing target clients; providing demonstrated ability to develop lasting relationships with business clients. Assist in developing firm thought-ware on technical accounting and financial reporting matters. Provide support to the audit practice as needed. Position will require domestic travel 40% of the time. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field of study (Foreign degree equivalent accepted). Position requires two (2) years of experience in public accounting, regulatory compliance or a related consulting occupation. Position requires two (2) years of experience with accounting and knowledge in the following skills: U.S. GAAP; SEC regulatory and reporting matters; and Financial Services Products and Operational Processes.
