To help us continue our growth, we are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to join our rapidly expanding organization. As the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of production, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of excellence within our organization. Reporting to the leadership team you will work to strategize, plan, and develop both short and long-term objectives to drive productivity and meet business goals. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership: Lead, direct, and monitor every aspect of production in our manufacturing plant with a strong emphasis on cross-functional leadership. Collaborate closely with leadership at our corporate offices to develop performance goals and long-term operational plans. Performance Optimization: Develop and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure quality, productivity, and cost performance. Lead initiatives to improve quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness by encouraging and supporting employee ideas for improvement. Analyze data to assess performance and spearhead process improvements. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operations, processes, and procedures. Work on strategic projects that have a mill and company-wide impact. Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity, lead times, and capacity to meet and exceed business objectives. Quality Assurance: Ensure that the highest quality standards are maintained while continuously improving all aspects of product quality. Implement measures to enhance quality control processes and minimize defects. Operational Efficiency: Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity. Maximize throughput, lead times, and productivity through process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration. Employee Development: Foster positive employee relations by providing coaching, development opportunities, and resolving issues through effective problem-solving. Responsible for making employment decisions and managing performance. Propose changes to staffing and equipment to meet productivity and capacity objectives. Cost Savings Initiatives: Lead and initiate cost-saving measures and process improvements to achieve positive results across all areas of operations. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs. ABILITIES Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred. Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the textile or carpet industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving operational excellence. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
