Our growing auto body shop seeks a mechanic to join our talented team of auto mechanics and service technicians. The ideal candidate should be comfortable assessing vehicle components ranging from electronic systems to air conditioning units. Maintenance work experience, manual dexterity, and communication skills are required. Apply today if you are eager to take on the mechanic duties that will drive our shop forward! Responsibilities: --- Inspect, test drive, and perform diagnostic tests to determine vehicle problems, parts needed for repairs, and necessary work --- Source and remediate mechanical problems and malfunction codes that are identified in the vehicle's mechanical systems, electrical system, and electronic systems --- Creating estimates for auto repair work and their respective timelines for sharing with customers --- Work with auto mechanic team members to determine vehicle problems and solutions --- Encourage and facilitate preventive maintenance work such as oil changes, air conditioning service, flushing, brake replacement, tire rotation, and more Qualifications: --- Experience and manual dexterity using hand tools and other equipment is needed --- A valid driver's license is necessary --- Associate's degree from a vocational program, technical school, or community college is preferred - ASE certification is a big bonus --- High school diploma or GED equivalent necessary --- Must be an effective communicator who maintains a solid work ethic About Company: Diplomat Motors is an independent used auto dealership that is passionate about helping others.
