*Inova Health *is looking for dedicated *Night Shift, Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses (RN) *to join the team at: _*Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, Inova Fairfax Hospital, *__and __*Inova Alexandria Hospital!*__The Labor and Delivery unit at __*Inova Fair Oaks Hospital *__located in Fairfax, Virginia has recently undergone a beautiful renovation. Our unit consists of thirteen private labor and delivery rooms, an eight-bed triage/PACU area, and three operating rooms. The types of patients range from low risk deliveries to high-risk patients with pre-existing multisystem medical and obstetrical problems. The usual staffing assignment consists of 1 RN for 2 laboring patients and change to 1 nurse to 1 patient based on acuity and phase of labor. The team is committed to meeting the highest standards in quality care and patient experience and is proud of their continuing Magnet status and recently earned a High-Performing rating for the first edition of Best Hospitals for Maternity by U.S. News & World Report.__*Inova Alexandria Hospital *__Labor and Delivery is a 13-bed unit, complimented by 3 operating suites, 4 PACU beds, and 4 Clinical Decision beds. Approximately, 3,600 deliveries take place each year, including deliveries for high-risk obstetric patients. In our Clinical Decision Unit (Labor and Delivery Triage), we can care for as many as 450 patients a month. The L&D Unit delivers approximately 10 to 15 babies each day.__*Nurse to Patient Ratios:*__2:1 during early stages of labor__1:1 once patient is active and begins pushing__1:1 for all C-sections, epidural placements, TOLAC and fetal demises.__1:1 or up to 3:1 for antepartum patients, depending on level of acuity.__The Labor and Delivery Unit is located within the Inova Womens Hospital at on the __*Inova Fairfax Medical Campus *__in Falls Church, Virginia. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.* *Experience*: A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting. _1 full year or more of Labor and Delivery experience is strongly preferred._* *Certification*: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
