Description:
The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for: Month end closing along with G/L accounting, reconciliation, and Maintaining fixed asset records and calculating and booking depreciation. Supporting annual audit, tax filings, Review of Financials, and Overhead Audit. Overall responsibility for AP, AR, Payroll, and utilization reports Budget preparation support Assist with State licensure, registrations, and filings. Preparation of Use/Sales Tax filings Producing and updating accounting-related reports Contributing to the development of company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Ad hoc projects and reports Required Qualifications: BBA with Accounting major 5+ years of experience in similar role Knowledge of accounting regulations and practices (cash and accrual methods), GAAP, and Federal and State tax returns and reporting for S Corporation Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 31 Experience with Project Cost Accounting Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Strong work ethic and attention to detail Effective communication skills Desired Qualifications: Experience with Deltek Vantage Point Experience with Microsoft Project Professional services industry experience (particularly A/E) Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled
