JOB TITLE: Machine Operator - Fabrication REPORTS TO: Operations Supervisor - Fabrication DEPARTMENT: Fabrication FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt SALARY RANGE: $22-$25 Per Hour OVERVIEW Pelsue is the industry leader in manufacturing worker safety products and vehicles for the telephone, utility and construction industries. We have a large assembly shop in our Englewood facility where we build industrial safety products to protect field workers on their job sites. We are planning a move to our new facility in Aurora CO near I-70 and Tower Road this year. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Fabricate Metal (Aluminum and Steel) components to current Engineering Drawings Safely and Efficiently operate the machines below used during the manufacturing process: Band Saws Chop Saws CNC Turrent Metal Brake Spot Welder CNC Milling Machine Measure and evaluate parts to the drawing using Calipers, Tape Measures, and Micrometers Maintain Equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operation Support the implementation of 5-S principles in the Fab Shop COMPENTENCIES Proficient in Math functions (fractions, decimals, multiplication) High Attention to detail to build to assembly drawings and read part numbers Good hand eye coordination Positive attitude while working within in the team Personal Effectiveness/Credibility & Ethical Conduct SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in a manufacturing metal fabrication shop and will be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes at a min). PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee will be standing for the majority of their shift. Ability to lift 50 lbs POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work while onsite are Monday through Thursday 6:30am to 5:00pm. Overtime may be required on occasion. TRAVEL None REQUIRED EDUCATION, LANGUAGE, AND EXPERIENCE No education requirements for this position. Hand tool and power tool experience preferred but will train candidates that do not have experience.
