Food for Thought is part of the Tamarack Holdings family of companies, specializing in handcrafted, small-batch production of gourmet foods including preserves, salsas, condiments, and sauces. We offer a competitive wage and benefit plan that includes a matching 401(k) and currently have an opening for a full time, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our team as a Production Associate. As a Production Associate, you will operate food manufacturing equipment along with packaging product to ensure our customers receive the highest quality food and products to support a healthy food culture. Some of the responsibilities include: Set up and run food manufacturing and/or cooking equipment properly by ensuring quality and production standards are met, correct ingredients are added, equipment runs safely, and cleaned to specifications. Cooking requires the following of specific recipes and instructions. Inspects product and packages the products into boxes, wrapping and labeling for shipping in a safe and productive manner that ensures customers receive shipments undamaged and ready for consumption. Complete data and record entries in an accurate manner to ensure the tracking and transparency of our food products. Perform assigned duties with accuracy, minimal waste and meeting specified standards. We are seeking someone to fill this role who is team-oriented, reliable, an effective communicator and has a strong desire to be part of a positive team culture in supporting others as well as the business itself. They should also have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, repetitive movements and can stand for extended periods of time.
