JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Registered Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit RRT - NICU Full-Time Registered Respiratory Therapist candidates for the NICU will have the following job responsibilities: Delivers and assesses responses to ordered therapy per plan of care including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures. Utilizes various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment such as masks, tents and incubators. Administers prescribed doses of medicinal gases and aerosol drugs. Measures ventilator volumes, pressures and blood gas analysis. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition and general acceptance of treatment. Performs a variety of duties related to setting up, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment. Responds to emergency team calls. Educates patients and family members and provides information about community support groups and other available programs. Provides age and culturally appropriate care. Orients and mentors new staff members. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. JOB QUALIFICATIONS- Registered Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit RRT - NICU Full-Time Registered Respiratory Therapist candidates for the NICU must meet the following minimum job qualifications: Active Florida RRT License required. 3 Years of Acute Care RRT NICU experience REQUIRED. **MUST HAVE LEVEL 3 NICU experience Must have experience - Requiring RRT, but may be open to CRT for the right experienced candidate. BLS required. ACLS, PALS and/or NRP must be obtained within 3 months of hire. Sal range: CRT $25.22 (2yr) $27.58 (5 yr) $29.35(10yr) $34.48 (17yr MAX) RRT $27.74 (2yr) $30.34 (5 yr) $32.29 (10yr) $37.92 (17yr MAX) SIGN ON : case by case Relo: case by case Shift Diffs: 3rd shift: $2.83. Weekends: $2.50
