Assistant Accounting Manager -Must be bilingual in Japanese About Us We are a leading travel company that provides a wide range of travel services to our customers. We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible travel experience, and we are always looking for talented and motivated individuals to join our team.The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing account reconciliations and group company consolidation, preparing variance analysis and assisting with monthly closing and preparation of the monthly journal entries, and supervising daily accounting functions. Coordinates with other departments and resolves accounting issues. Responsibilities · Responsible for general ledger entries and analysis.· Performs monthly account reconciliations and prepares supporting documentation and detail.· Retrieving data for analysis and reporting.· Conducts variance analysis on general ledger accounts and identifies and resolves discrepancies.· Prepares and sends Conduct of Japan Report and MIS report to Japan.· Obtains financial statements from group companies and consolidates.· Oversees preparation of the company's annual budget, analyzes, and monitors the cash flow.· Identifies and addresses the team's weaknesses; schedules and provides on-the-job or other training as necessary.· Works closely with team members to resolve operational and processing problems and reports as required on performance, issues, and resolutions.· Reports to, communicates and consults with management as required. Prepares written reports, as necessary. Qualifications · Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.· Possesses 4-5 years of experience or equivalent skills, in the area of own expertise. · Speaks, reads and writes fluently in Japanese and English languages. Additional Information This is a remote position with the requirement to come to the Torrance, CA office 1-2 times per month. We are looking for candidates who are able to commute to the Torrance, CA office.
