We're looking for an expert to join our Customer Engagement consulting team. If you're a top-notch utility industry expert and a revenue management or meter-to-cash geek, we want to talk to you! And we'd be super excited if you just can't stop thinking about ways to help utilities protect their revenue while making sure customers have a good experience and are satisfied. E Source provides predictive data science, research and advisory, and solution services to help utilities make decisions that benefit their customers, their bottom line, and our planet. What you'll do You'll be advising our clients on how they can enhance their revenue management processes, including billing, payments, credit and collections, and revenue protection to deliver business benefits. Using your deep utility functional knowledge and experience, you'll be able to create actionable strategies that improve billing, collections, and overall financial performance and reduce bad debt without negatively affecting customer satisfaction. The expertise you'll need to draw upon includes: Billing, finance, and collections: Billing and revenue management through the collections process and debt management, including financial modeling Rates: The charges, fees, and penalties applied to usage and services Customer experience: Including customer self-service, electronic bill payment and presentment, and customer segmentation Customer analytics: Understanding and using customer analytics to improve processes, personalize customer treatments, and deliver business results What will make you a good fit You'd be a terrific fit for this position if you demonstrate that you have the experience to: Evaluate current business processes, anticipate future-state requirements, and identify areas for improvement Mine customer data for actionable insights to inform decision-making and business changes Create customer experience strategies that are positive and memorable Perform financial modeling and quantify benefits Develop "case for change" financial, operational, or both [AR1] Create strategic blueprints to close gaps, deliver improvements, and meet stated business goals and objectives Lead workshop sessions, meetings, and presentations to share ideas and process findings Recommend best practices, key performance metrics, and benchmarks, and understand regulations that affect revenue management Document and clearly communicate process and business model changes Identify organizational changes associated with business improvements Enumerate risk areas and develop mitigation strategies Leverage customer technologies to deliver business improvements and customer experience strategies Help utilities implement their strategies when needed Experience At least 15 years of related consulting or utility experience with more than 10 years in all areas of revenue management Proven experience and understanding of enterprise-wide utility operations Deep experience in driving significant improvements in costs, business processes, revenue metrics, and cashflow by executing against strategic roadmaps, blueprints and business cases Directly led efforts to measurably improve business benefits Proven experience in developing comprehensive actionable strategies and roadmaps Participation in system implementation projects impacting revenue management business processes and outcomes Demonstrated experience in improving customer experience and customer satisfaction Excellent executive communication skills (written and verbal) Be able to elegantly debate issues to deliver successful business outcomes Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage work on multiple tasks simultaneously Can easily switch between strategic and tactical thinking A little about E Source Utilities across the US and Canada face the same fundamental, day-to-day challenges: to ensure reliable service for every customer while maintaining and modernizing aging distribution networks and meeting regulatory requirements-all while keeping rates affordable. The budgeted salary for this position is $160,000 to $225,000 USD + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
