Job Title: Sr. Data Analytics Analyst (Business Intelligence Developer)Purpose:This position will be filled in the Data Analytics & Reporting team within Technology Services. Key responsibilities as a member of the team include detailed data analysis, data modeling and requirements mapping, ETL design and development, analysis cube development, and BI solution development including presentation layer delivery. This position also works closely with Data Architects within the organization to ensure that new analytics solutions align with the enterprise data management strategy. This includes identification of the true source of data, reducing data redundancy and focus on increased integration of data across business units. This includes increasing data quality, compliance, and governance. Additional requirements of this position include consulting with partners on their business needs, translating business needs into analytics/reporting requirements, and interfacing with the partners and other IT team members to build custom business intelligence solutions. The successful candidate will have proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues that arise within BI and analytics toolsets and the enterprise infrastructure supporting these solutions.Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or related degree preferredExperience with implementing BI/analytics solutions using the Microsoft BI/analytics toolsetExperience working in a fast-paced, competitive information technology organizationKnowledge/Skills:Strong technical knowledge implementing business intelligence solutions using the Microsoft BI toolset:SQL Server Tools (Analysis Services, Integration Services, Reporting Services, PolyBase)Microsoft AzurePower BI and/or Tableau experienceProficient in DAX AI knowledge prefered Strong data modeling skills and understanding of data warehouse design techniquesKnowledge of data migration and integrationGeneral knowledge of Hadoop and other big data technologiesDeep analytical capability to debug, monitor, and troubleshoot issues with BI solutionsEffective communication (verbal/written) and leadership skills to foster enterprise adoption of BI solutions by power users within business units and other IT teamsComprehensive consulting skills with proven ability to work with and influence othersExcellent customer service skillsContinuous self-learnerAbility to handle multiple assignments and conflicting prioritiesAbility to build productive relationships with a focus on cooperation and teamworkGeneral Job Responsibilities: Capture, document, analyze, and correlate business information from multiple data sources Scope, develop, package and deliver new business intelligence and analytics solutionsDevelop online analytical processing (OLAP) cubes, static/dynamic dashboards, and interactive reports, charts, and graphs based on customer needsDesign and develop ETL packages; demonstrate thorough understanding of ETL componentsDesign, build and deliver new reports, measures, and KPIsPerform detailed data analysis and developing dimensional data modelsServe as a BI subject matter expert to properly assess BI needs for business unit users and map those needs to appropriate back-end solution architectures (i.e. OLTP/transactional databases, data marts, data warehouses, cubes, tabular models, local data sources, etc.)Collaborate with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and deliveryCollaborate with peers; mentoring team members to enhance skills and abilities; providing leadership as requiredCore Behavioral Attributes:The successful candidate will demonstrate understanding and application of the Southern Style behaviors: Unquestionable Trust, Superior Performance, and Total Commitment.Additional required behavioral attributes:Results-orientedInnovative Strategic thinker with an enterprise view for sustainable solutions Committed to continuous learning and improvement Committed to the development of others Committed to building and maintaining constructive partnerships with business partners Works well both independently and with others Acts with speed and decisiveness Committed to ethical conduct Lives and works safelyPDN-9be792b9-c313-44b7-9a4d-1c976aad1403
