FULL-TIME POSITION OUTPATIENT COUNSELOR Recovery Resource Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outpatient Counselor to join our team. This position will provide evidence-based counseling interventions to individuals with substance use disorder and mental and/or behavioral health issues. Responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering group and individual counseling services, and collaborating with clients to set treatment goals. Qualified candidates must hold a certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or Counselor-Intern (LCDC-I), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or LPC-Intern as defined by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a counseling discipline are preferred. Training in trauma-informed treatment modalities is required, with EMDR training or certification being preferred. Knowledge of substance use disorders, trauma, PTSD, and co-occurring mental health disorders is also essential. This position will involve a hybrid work environment, including online/remote and in-office work, as well as some potential travel between offices in Denton, Dallas, and Fort Worth. Some evening and weekend hours are required.
