Medical Receptionist

Description:
Responsibilities: Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using medical scheduling software Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees Maintain patient records and ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and up-to-date Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as needed Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers as directed by physicians Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns in a professional manner Requirements: Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is required Proficiency in using office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite, eClinicalWorks Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Flexible schedule FSA/HSA Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance If you meet the qualifications and are ready to join a dynamic team in the medical billing field, please submit your application.
