In the Manhattan Technical Consultant - Sr Systems Developer job focused primarily on release management and production support, that means you have a...HEART FOR PEOPLE... you can organize multiple Developers, negotiate solutions, and provide upward communicationHEAD FOR BUSINESS... you consistently demonstrate and uphold standards of developing, infrastructure, and processPASSION FOR RESULTS... you're capable of high-velocity contributions in multiple technical domains What you'll do - Coach / mentor junior Developers in techniques, processes, and new technologies- Stay ahead of new technologies; assist with plans to keep tech sustainment items current and supported; recommend changes to processes and tools based on industry standards, patterns, and practices- Support development of COTS systems / SaaS providers' functional and technical roadmaps- Support / may lead full-stack infrastructure architecture and design; identify / scope / architect / deliver complex solutions; suggest solutions that consider technology alternatives, impact on affected / adjacent systems, and tradeoffs- Apply awareness of all affected systems / applications to support implementation, end-to-end system integration, stabilization, and production support - Contribute to the design and implementation of seamless end-to-end business process and system integration, involving both custom-developed and COTS systems. - Conduct proposed COTS, SaaS and cloud-based solution technical reviews- Facilitate technical communications with vendors and Operations teams- Implement small to medium domain-specific applications to fill gaps between large COTS systems- Lead team efforts to configure, enhance / update, maintain, test, debug COTS systems / integrations - Review functional design / requirements to identify and recommend technical risks and obstacles- Lead efforts to provide accurate duration / effort estimates; ensure technical teams stay on track, on schedule, and on budget- Support test planning / test case development; identify required technical tasks to support testing; prepare environments to support test execution and training- Create technical documentation / training for system enhancements and test scenarios- Design / implement proactive automated system monitoring and alerting solutions; identify engineering tools that facilitate systems management- Provide support during escalation of incidents- Assist with / support documentation, prioritization, and closure of follow-up action items from significant incidents and recurring incidents Who You Are - You have a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, or similar education, self-study, or experience- You have 2+ years of experience configuring, enhancing, and maintaining COTS / SaaS products - You have 2+ years Warehouse Management System experience ( Manhattan and Swisslog systems a plus)- You have 2+ years of experience supporting distribution center systems - You have knowledge of a given system's technical sustainment factors, and the maintenance and support plan for them- You have an awareness of how systems integrate beyond your scope of responsibility- You have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills- You have an ownership mentality, and a consistent track record of successful, high-quality results Preferred Qualifications - MHE Automation- Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management System ( WMOS )- Linux, shell scripting- SQL (Oracle, SQL Server)- New Relic- Automated testing- Java (or equivalent custom application development expertise)- TIBCO Who We Are - H-E-B is one of the largest, independently owned food retailers in the nation, operating over 400 stores throughout Texas and Mexico, with annual sales generating over $26 billion- We hire talented people (116,000+ Partners), and give them autonomy to be creative in how they impact the business- We're a Partner-driven company with a Bold Promise--Because People Matter- We embrace Diversity and Inclusion as core values, and support them with thriving company-wide programs- We're a truly original Texas-based company that created the Spirit of Giving to help Texas communities every day- Once eligible, our Partners become Owners in the company.
