Job Summary The VP Regional Sales (U.S. Western Region) is responsible to ensure the overall coordination, management and leadership of all the sales activities of our Direct Sales team. This position reports directly to VP, Direct and Utility Sales Channel. The role is responsible for developing, managing, guiding, proposing and executing strategies to achieve maximum sales volume for our products and services as well as designing and applying the sales strategy and sales plan. Key Tasks and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):Responsible for the development and implementationof an overall sales strategy which capitalizes on the strength of a Direct Sales force.:Establishes market and target customer strategies in conjunction with Sales Leadership team.:Maintains key customer relationships and develops and implements strategies for expanding the customer base (customer acquisition strategies).:Train, develop, inspire and motivate sales teams to achieve sales goals and initiatives.:Manages the overall sales process, setting appropriate metrics for sales pipeline management. Utilizes BSF tools to improve processes and increase sales force effectiveness.:Oversees the recruiting, hiring and development of the sales organization. Skills and Minimum Experience Required: + 10 years of experience in the lighting/electrical industry: Bachelors degree: Successful track record of being a charismatic leader, team player, and motivator with excellent written, verbal and presentation and communication skills.: Challenges status quo with a bias towards action. Thoroughly analyze problems, making decisions that are well supported by data. : P and L acumen with an understanding of how decisions affect financial results: Ability to work in a matrix environment to support key business strategies: Experience working with end users in the Infrastructure and Industrial markets.
