The QA Specialist will support plants in quality and food safety investigations, policy development and implementation of corporate policies/programs. The QA Specialist will be additional support resource at the various Process Optimization projects in progress at various facilities. The overall intent of this role is to grow and develop future QA Supervisor candidates. How you will make contributions that matter... * Quality resource to the Regional QA Manager in areas of Quality and Food Safety. The QA Specialist will support plants in quality and food safety investigations, policy development and implementation of corporate policies/programs. The QA Specialist will be additional support resource at the various Process Optimization projects in progress at various facilities. The overall intent of this role is to grow and develop future QA Supervisor candidates. * Responsible for supporting the plant operations department in the area of Quality Assurance and Quality Control. * Lead Quality Assurance systems in order to satisfy internal and customer requirements to include process evaluation and product protection programs; process specifications and standards; sanitation programs, HACCP and GMP programs; production labeling; and product storage and distribution. * Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the plant Quality/Lab Department and plant personnel by understanding regulatory, customer and internal Saputo quality requirements. * Provides QA support for rejected loads including investigating incidents, running predictive models, and provide product dispositions for the internal distribution centers and the external 3PL distribution centers. * Lead and conduct in-depth quality audits to identify potential area for enhancement. * Design and execute detailed test plans and test cases to validate production functionality. * Create, maintain, and provide training for Quality Assurance policies and programs as required for the internal distribution centers. * Lead evaluation process of production/packaging processes and determine the most efficient method of accomplishing goals. * Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement * Provide strategic insights and recommendations for product optimization and enhancement * Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.You are best suited for the role if you... * Bachelors' Degree in Microbiology, Food Science or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience. * Proven experience as a quality assurance specialist or similar role. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. * Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, time management and organizational skills with attention to detail. * Must be self-motivated, results oriented, possess high degree of initiative, and work well under pressure. * Ability to work flexible hours and days at different locations. * Frequent travel with overnight stays up to 50%. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).We support and care for our employees by providing them with... * Development opportunities that enhance you career fulfillment * Meaningful compensation & benefits that help you care for your family * Opportunities to contribute to your community and enhance the lives of others through Saputo productsSalary Range: $70,050 to $91,950Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, educations, skills and training Saputo is among the top three cheese producers in the USA and one of the largest producers of extended shelf-life and cultured dairy products.
