Full Time Dispensary Associate

Summary: We are looking for a customer service-oriented and operationally driven candidate to serve as a front line associate at our cannabis dispensary. You must be available to open and close the store before and after daily operations, ensuring the store is always clean and customer ready. Dispensary Associates will comply with all state, federal, and local laws and IDFPR regulations. Other duties as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Cashier : M ust demonstrate mastery of POS system and embody excellent customer service . Embrace company directed co nversations at POS with c ustomers including making product reco mmendations , ensuring accurate inventory management , de-escalation of customer concerns , accurate cash handlin g and compliance with all state laws. Host: Be a welcom ing first interaction with all customers entering dispensary, must be friendly, positive, display exceptional customer service and have excellent product knowledge . This position assists customer s wit h placing orders, answering questions and manages the line by having ex cellent communication with the rest of the store team. Delivery: D ispensary associates are responsible for accurately intaking deliveries from cult ivators with the supervision of a Lead . Compliance is critical and all aspects of state rules must be followed including vendor management, inventory review and conf irmation, accurate system intake , reporting of discrepancies and physical preparation of products into bulk and shelf inventory. This includes prepping labels and bins for storage. Order Coordinator: Effectively the quarterback for the BOH operations this role manages orders to be packed and distributes to packing tea m, communicates with host and POS as well as the other AIC team memb e rs to ensure staffing levels are appropriate and adjusted based on business needs and pro-actively manages bulk to shelf inventory moves . This role requires quick thinking and problem solving to know when to adj ust to ensure efficient packing and order fulfillment. Provides direction to team to ensure everyone is focused on their assigned tasks. Pick & Pack: this role is focused on accurate and efficient fulfillment of orders and requires mastery of store inventory and vault organization and layout . Taking direction from the Order Coor d i n ator, this role helps execute proactive inventory management , responds to add on requests and recommendations. ID Scanner: The store 's first interaction with a customer and must maintain a friendly welcoming demeanor , this role must not only understand compliant verif i cation of IDs for all purchasers but also refer to store guidelines for banned customers, ser vice animals, ensure the vestibule remains clean, manage the line and communicate with security and host as needed. Work Skills and Qualifications: Genuine passion for helping others, providing exceptional customer service, and developing customer relationships and foster a positive team environment Ability to coach and provide feedback to team members A growth mindset: strong desire to learn, grow, and embrace new ideas Resilient and flexible in difficult situations , changing policies, and laws Excellent active listening, verbal and written communication skills Planning, time management, and organizational skills Strong attention to detail Strong problem-solving skills and composure under pressure Proficiency with accurate and efficient cash handing Ability to operate or to quickly become proficient on POS system and inventory system Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel or related software Knowledgeable of trends and news in the cannabis industry Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures Extensive knowledge of products available for sale Ability to accommodate a changing schedule Reliable transportation to and from the store Education, Credentials, and Experience: At least 21 years of age Ability to o btain a dispensing agent identification card an Agent in Charge identification card issued by the state of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation which requires a background check with no felonies Satisfy company requirements for vaccination against COVID-19, or obtain approved medical or religious exemption Prior experience working in customer service with one year or more prior experience in hospitality, banking, or retail Proficient with operating a computer Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of standing and walking Prolonged periods of sitting Ability to listen and communicate utilizing a walkie talkie and earpiece Occasionally climbing and descending stairs Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach Ability to carry, lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 lbs Comfortable in tight spaces Ability to operate carts, dollies, and other equipment to move product Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee discount Vision insurance Health insurance Sick and Paid time off Schedule: Availability for Full Time (FT) Team Members is defined by the percent of possible operating hours in the week. We calculate operating hours to be approximately 88hrs per week. “Available to work” can include times that an associate or AIC would prefer not to work but can work if needed. REASONABLE: Full-Time associates and AIC's who have 70% or more availability across our weekly operating hours, including some peak days and times, are considered reasonable.
