Position Overview This position requires the employee to supervise and coordinate activities of Asphalt Paving Superintendent and crew membersengaged in spreading, rolling, tamping, and patching asphalt or similar material to form surfaces of highways, streets, parking lots, aircraft landing strips, and driveways. The ideal candidate will possess enthusiasm to influence, lead, and manage others. What You Can Do (Minimum Qualifications) :3 to 5 years of related asphalt and paving experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.:3 to 5 years of knowledge related to other road construction (milling, surface treatment, base and subbase construction, etc.) would be a plus.:Ability to read/ comprehend plans and specifications.:Flexible working schedule to include days, nights, or weekends as needed.:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.:Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals to compute rate, ration, percent, land to draw and interpret bar graphs.:Ability to type and use keyboards accurately and possess knowledge of Database software.:Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.:Ability to keep time and material records.:Ability to follow verbal and written instruction and communicate effectively.:Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills and attributes. Also ensure all required equipment documentation is completed and accurate.: Check daily cost sheets for correctness, compliance with estimated cost, and if over budge
