Position: Mobile Maintenance Mechanic Reports to: Mobile Maintenance Supervisor Shift: 7am:330pm, Monday:Friday Pay: 20+/hour At Ash Grove Cement, people are our first priority. What you'll be contributing: :Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines. : Diagnoses specific problems with mobile equipment accurately and promptly.: Repairs equipment safely and efficiently.: Schedules repairs and maintains a preventive maintenance program.: Understands and follows all Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and company policies/procedures.: Maintains parts inventory and orders supplies.: Performs welding, repair, and fabrication.: Maintains housekeeping standards on assigned equipment, work areas, and in and around the Truck Shop: Completes purchase requests, work orders, daily/monthly reports, and safety inspections.:Additional duties as assigned by supervisor. To succeed in this position, you will need: :High school graduation or equivalent is required. :Drivers license with good driving record, commercial drivers license preferred :Minimum of 2 years of experience completing mobile equipment maintenance, CAT Maintenance :Cutting, welding and fabricating skills : Ability to diagnose and repair mobile equipment including diesel/gasoline engines, transmissions, brakes, and heating and air conditioning systems: Knowledge of cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment: Familiarity with tires, filters, lubricants, refrigerants, acids, and cleaning and protective chemicals used in mobile equipment repair: Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in the English language: Ability to perform standard or metric mathematics: Ability to read and understand operator, parts, and repair manuals: Ability to read and understand electrical systems, hydraulics, and schematics: Ability to work irregular shifts, workdays, nights, and weekends as required: Ability and follow all safety rules and regulations as set forth by MSHA and Company policies/procedures including the Hazard Communication Program:Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. :Willingness to learn, training will be provided. What to expect in a cement environment: Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure. What's next for you?
