Narragansett Bay Anesthesia (NBA) in Providence, RI is actively seeking a part-time Faculty Member for its DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program at St. Joseph's School of Nurse Anesthesia/Rhode Island College. As 1099, $15,000 per semester and as a full-time W2 position, compensated at NBA CRNA salary for 1 non-clinical day/3 clinical days. This is a Monday-Friday position.The Faculty Member would be responsible for teaching anesthesia -specific courses including planning, sequencing, coordination of guest speakers, composing examinations, grading, and evaluation. Exams are administered on campus and may be proctored by on-site faculty/staff members. Courses may be taught in a distance, hybrid, or in-person format, depending on faculty location and preference. Additional duties include being an advisor for DNP capstone projects and participating in the admissions process. The Nurse Education Center of Rhode Island has a state-of-the-art simulation lab, including a dedicated OR suite which would be available for faculty to incorporate into their course content.This role requires demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based nurse anesthesia practice and preference would be given to candidates with at least three years direct patient care experience as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA). The applicant must be able to work collaboratively with other faculty and staff members. Other requirements include: -- Earned doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution -- Certification as a CRNA through NBCRNA -- Active CRNA license in any state -- Three years direct patient experience preferred -- Teaching experience preferredEach semester -- 3 credit course -- DNP program advisor -- Committee MembersNBA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
