This role involves providing legal counsel on patent matters within the biotechnology sector.Job Overview: The Bio Patent Counseling Associate Attorney will provide legal guidance and support to biotech companies and investors in patent-related matters, including portfolio development, life cycle management, non-infringement and invalidity analysis, post-grant proceedings, and IP due diligence. The ideal candidate will have at least 4+ years of patent counseling and prosecution experience and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.Duties:Provide strategic counsel on international patent portfolio development for biotech companies and investors.Conduct non-infringement and invalidity analysis.Represent clients in post-grant proceedings.Conduct intellectual property due diligence.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve client objectives.Requirements:Minimum of 4+ years of patent counseling and prosecution experience.Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline.Experience representing biotech companies and investors.Prior pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Education:Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline.Certifications:Must be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Skills:Strong understanding of patent law and regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and negotiation abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
