POSITION SUMMARY The Lighting & Media Director works closely with other team members on the Creative Arts team. They are responsible for the lighting design, installation, maintenance, and execution at all Sun Valley Community Church (SVCC) campuses. This position also assists in creating and distributing digital media for weekend services and other events. In all actions, this role reflects the SVCC team leadership distinctives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS LIGHTING: 1. Design, program, and manage lighting production elements at all SVCC campuses2. Recruit, train, develop and lead volunteer lighting teams3. Maintain safe lighting environment by troubleshooting and repairing/replacing lighting fixtures and equipment4. Participate in creative planning meetings and work collaboratively with all campus production teams5. Research, design, and propose detailed recommendations for lighting and production upgrades and new lighting plots at all campuses. Implement and install approved plans working closely with the integration team6. Provide technical consultation and support to Campus Production Directors7. Foster a shared SVCC standardized lighting experience and workflow throughout all campuses8. Manage lighting budget MEDIA: 1. Develop, review, and test media to be shown during weekend services at SVCC2. Distribute weekend media elements to all SVCC campuses weekly to support campus prep3. Manage media folders and backups across SVCC computers on weekly basis4. Train and schedule computer graphics operators for the broadcast campus5. Serve as the ProPresenter expert for SVCC, training all staff and implementing consistent standards across all campuses MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent, and earned degrees and/or other training that hasequipped them for the duties of the role Three years of full-time experience in lighting design, maintenance and installation including working with pipe structures, theater construction techniques, general hand and power tool usage, and building/constructing with stage decks, industry approved rigging techniques,cable termination (Cat5, XLR, BNC, DMX) Ability to operate technical equipment/software including lighting consoles GrandMA, PCO, ProPresenter, After Effects, Resolume, various media servers, and Google Suite Significant working and technical knowledge of all aspects of live production, including audio, lighting, multimedia music, and staging; offline lighting design (3D Visualization) Knowledge of and adherence to related OSHA standards Ability to manage budget Demonstrates spiritual maturity and character consistent with the Biblical requirements for church leadership Effective relational skills; proficiency in communication skills, both verbal and written Self-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervision Teamwork orientation with ability to recruit, train, lead and motivate others Agrees and aligns with the mission, vision, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of SVCC PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Four years of related experience
