North Central Fabrication- Welder/Fabricator Summary: Fabricators cut, shape, join and finish metal to make, maintain or repair metal products and structures. Fabricators may produce patterns/fixtures for fabrication, apply coatings, and work with a variety of materials. Primary Job Responsibilities: * Examines detailed drawings or specifications to find out job, material and equipment requirements* Cuts, rolls, shapes, bends, molds, spins, heats, or hammers metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies* Sets up and/or operates hand and machine tools, torches, and welding equipment* Assembles parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding or bolting* Performs routine inspections on assigned equipment and notifies supervisor of defects or needed repairs* Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment* Possibility to learn to run computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines* Other duties as assignedPM21 North Central Fabrication- Welder/Fabricator Desired Qualifications/Skills: * Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform duties of the role* Physically capable of handling heavy materials, tools and machines* Must obtain the necessary training and certification prior to operating any equipment* Must maintain a valid driver's license or transportation to and from work* Good hand-eye coordination* Ability to work in a team environment* Ability to work independently with little direction when applicable* Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency* Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions* Ability to use equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner* Ability to read drawings* Ability to accurately read a tape measure* Ability to pass a weld test* Experience prepping and applying a shop coat of prime paint a plus* Possible shift flexibility as work dictatesPI5cdddca3ac88-29448-32356167PDN-9bf3a99f-70d9-4bca-a352-6b92f30a5c7f
