Relocation Assistance (based on eligibility) Occ Summary Independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and estab lishedpolicies and procedures. Provide nursingservices to patients and f amilies in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North C arolina Board of Nursing. Work Performed Plan, provid e,supervise and document professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with physician orders and establishedpolicies and procedures. Knowledge,Skills and Abilities Knowledge of scope of the registerednurse, licensed practical nurse and NCA knowledge of and appropriate applicatio n of the nursing process. Knowledge of professional theory, practiceand procedure. Ability to assess nursing needs of acute and chronicallyill p atients and their families. Ability to independently seek outresources a nd work collaboratively. Ability to establish and maintain effective wor king relationships. Ability to communicate clearly with patients, famili es, visitors,healthcare team, physicians, administrators, leawith the nu rsing plan of care. Ability to use sensory and cognitive fundershipand o thers. Ability to teach patients and families in accordancectionsto proc ess and prioritize information, treatment, and follow-up.Abilityto use f ine motor skills. Competent in BLS and/or other specialized lifesupport requirements designated by work area. Pre-employment Physical Capa city Testing Required Level Characteristics N/A Minimum Qualifications Education Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date. Experience 2 years of appropriate clinical experience required Degrees, Licensures, Certifications Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.
