ACCOUNTANTPosition Type: Permanent, Full TimeLocation: Greenville, MichiganReports to: Controller Mission Balance, reconcile and analyze various general ledger accounts and produce various monthly department variance reports. Gather and analyze financial data used in the preparation of the monthly profit and loss statement. Participates in regular accounting closing operations, forecast estimates, preparation of journal entries and closing of production operations. Analyzes, in accordance with a defined timetable, the performance of an activity/project/product based on defined objectives and/or budget and/or forecasts and/or the previous year. Participate in any project relating to costing, cost savings, or cost analysis. Provides General Management and Finance reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of activities, projects, and products. Responsible for review and analysis of inventory, fixed assets, and other operational analysis as it pertains to inventory and variances affecting the balance sheet and P&L along with calculating monthly depreciation and projecting future depreciation. Participates in annual physical inventory verification. Supports Capex management (Application, follow-up, post-mortem analysis, valuation, etc...) Assists in annual budget and forecasting. Backup for other positions within the Finance department.Required Skills Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business-related degree Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills High computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and worksheet functionality Understanding and working knowledge of GAAPWhy Join US?At Mersen, we are proud to be drivers of progress and to contribute to tomorrow's world.
