This is a full-time in position with some overtime opportunitiesPay rate $60K-$100KEarly Career professional 2-3 yrs Assistant Project Manager Mechanical Contractor field, growth and advancement opportunities Benefits: Medical, 401(k) matching, Vision, Dental, Life, Flexible spending account, Employee assistance program, Paid time off, Professional development assistance, Tuition reimbursement, and MOREResponsibilities: Overseeing all activities associated with assigned projects.Collaborating with Project Managers to assist in various tasks, subject to change as needed.Participating in start-up meetings to review project scope with Project Manager, foreman, estimator, CAD, and prefab department.Procuring or requesting a complete set of drawings, specifications, addenda, and bulletins from the general contractor.Providing the foreman with a delivery schedule, cost codes, purchase orders, subcontractor list, and approved submittals.Requesting a letter of intent and/or contract before commencing work.Following up with the president and Project Manager to confirm contract execution and ensure a final copy is on record.Verifying that drawings are up to date.Conducting a comprehensive review of the project with the Project Manager and estimator to identify any potential issues.Supplying an updated file box with necessary forms required by the foreman.Reviewing the two-week look-ahead provided by the foreman and reporting to the department head.Document job progress through photographs. Oversee CAD department and communicate any issues to the general contractor.Attend weekly job meetings and conduct site walks. Obtain and secure all necessary permits. Provide foreman with approved submittals and maintain recordsRequirements: Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding manpower issues.3+ years of Materials estimating in HVAC commercial construction, Will need to attend prebid meetings / walkthroughs as needed. Familiarity with budgeting for commercial / Industrial HVAC jobs is required $5MM and up. Communicating and coordinating with PM’s, Vendors, to develop pre bid checklist, file management. Will need experience schematics / blueprint reading, Excel spreadsheet set up and management, ability to coordinate with Engineers on pricing & scheduling and monitor the progress of each job. Clear communication for report completionAn understanding of VRF, VAV, Split Systems, Packaged units, DDC, Controls, DOAS, ERV’s, Kitchen Hoods, Hot water and chilled water systems. Physical requirement, move and lift 25 lbs.Assign cost codes and list job number for all activities. Price and submit additional work or change orders.Obtain record drawings and submit with O/M manuals to general contractor.Report safety violations and employee infractions.Apply for required variances with the state.Obtain all necessary paperwork from subcontractors.Powered by JazzHR
