Position Overview: The Commercial Janitorial Foremen will manage the day-to-day activities of a team of 7 industrial cleaning laborers and is responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of cleaning services performed at the assigned location. The schedule for this position is: Monday - Friday; 7am to 3:30pm. Responsibilities and Duties: Responsible for the supervision of a crew involving mops, brooms, rags, floor scrubbers, low pressure washing, and chemical solution cleanings. Organize crews, delegate job responsibilities, and verify that all appropriate tools and supplies are available onsite to complete the job safely. Enforce jobsite safety to comply with all OSHA regulations and the hth companies' Safety Program Actively champions a positive workplace and safety culture. Acts as a liaison for all site leadership in their region and maintains positive client relations. Actively develops and maintains a high-performing team that is dedicated to customer service. Performs various other duties and functions as required or assigned. Qualifications: Education and Experience Must have two (2) to five (5) years of experience in the construction/industrial field with some management experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred (but not required). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Working understanding of safety principles, practices, and procedures. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Personal Characteristics Ability to problem solve and develop solutions. Follows directions of manager / lead / superintendent and clarifies responsibilities if needed. Respects self, co-workers, managers, company, other contractors, and clients. Adaptable in methods used to complete task. Always have a support and teaching mindset. Ability to read, analyze, and address complex data or situations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Excellent communication skills - maintaining professionalism when communicating with staff and prospective employees alike. Willing to go the extra mile. Motivated to learn new skills. Follows directions of manager and clarifies responsibilities, if needed. Respects self, co-workers, managers, company, and prospective employees. Shows up on time ready to complete work. Ability to work independently. Work Availability This role works Monday - Friday; 7am to 3:30pm. Physical Abilities Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and in a safe manner.
