Description:
This position is responsible for originating and qualifying mortgage loan applicants, initiating compliance procedures, and marketing products and services to solicit new business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Meets with loan applicants to gather personal information and answer questions about mortgage loan products Obtains and verifies financial information in order to conduct analysis used in evaluating loan applications Enters a decision on loans within established mortgage lending guidelines; documents decision analysis and properly communicates with customer on next steps Facilitates the closing process which includes scheduling with involved parties, communicating requirements, and presenting closings Actively conducts business development activities including establishing relationships with Realtors and builders, and monitoring existing portfolio Recommends other Primebank products and services to mortgage customers Education and Experience College degree or equivalent work experience Two or more years of mortgage origination or processing experience Able to complete NMLS license Skills and Abilities Proven sales and business development skills Exceptional interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to interpret regulations, policies, and procedures to solve customer service and record keeping problems Working knowledge and demonstrated ability to operate computers and software, such as Microsoft Office Suite
