Corporate Sales Coordinator

OVERVIEW OF ROLE: The Corporate Sales Coordinator is the primary contact at the hotel in the final stages of a sale and when the client is in-house. They will review each event with the client to produce a detailed plan for its execution which will be the blueprint for hotel operations to follow in production while maximizing revenue from food and beverage, meeting room rental, and group rooms. Compensation: Responsibilities: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Book, plan, coordinate and at times, on-site event contact for hotel events.• Produce increased / new sales for the hotel and maximize revenue by up-selling current clients.• Obtain detailed information regarding customers’ needs to use space to hotel’s advantage.• Incorporate information relating to functions booked into “weekly function” sheets.• Closely work with the corporate sales team and other departments.• High level of customer service.• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.• Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationship with client.• Work as a team and maintain a collaborative work environment.• Communicate customer needs to all relevant department managers.• Be available at important functions to greet customers and ensure proper service.• Review noteworthy customers with Director of Sales and provide customer feedback.• Attend meetings as needed by sales and or other departments as it relates to events and hotel.• Be informed of competitors and aware of changes in marketing approaches.• Adhere to hotel policies and procedures.• Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: ESSENTIAL SKILLS: • Excellent sales skills with ability to generate re-booking and increase current client business.• Strong organizational and priority-setting skills.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work well with a diverse group of clients and co-workers.• Excellent customer service skills.• Knowledge of Opera, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Delphi FDC. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • High School Diploma preferred and additional education in Sales & Marketing is preferred.• At least 2-3 years of sales or catering experience in the hotel industry, is preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
