Summary Child Care Aware of Virginia (CCAoVA) seeks an enthusiastic self-starter to join our central office administrative team to support our statewide network of child care resource and referral (CCR&R) professionals, delivering services to Virginia families and the child care workforce. This is an entry-level position into CCR&R work; however, knowledge and experience in the CCR&R/child care/early childhood education field is beneficial and will be necessary to the success of the position. Additionally, experience with adult learning/training is a plus. We develop and provide training, business development services and resources to child care professionals; we also develop and provide consumer education resources for families on quality child care, child safety and child development. Richmond-area flexible work mostly (90%) from home position Support child safety, quality child care & build the child care workforce Small agency with statewide footprint, strong team-driven culture Professional growth opportunities, work is always changing & evolving Duties This position will support the administration of network-wide services to ensure quality and consistency across the network and support centralized services conducted by the CCAoVA administrative hub, to include assistance with grant projects, public outreach and awareness activities and events, child care workforce development and training activities, child care consumer education, and service/staff coverage. This work will be varied and may entail anything from clerical functions, such as mass mail/email outreach campaigns, to developing and managing social media content, to assisting with data projects, or helping to manage participation in grant projects, to providing staff coverage for child care referrals and phone inquiries. Requirements Bachelor?s degree preferred, combination of applicable education and experience will be considered. Our chosen candidate will be highly-skilled in the use of technology, including design software, social media platforms, databases, spreadsheets and data management (i.e. MS365/Teams, Adobe Pro, Canva, Constant Contact, Survey Monkey, MS Office/Excel, Facebook/Instagram, online learning platforms). They will be independently able to structure their work time wisely without constant direction, willing to seek-out opportunities to advance agency projects, goals and meet agency needs, whether needs are clerical or service-oriented in nature. Candidate must be able to work remotely from a home-based office, but also willing to attend necessary meetings, events and run needed errands on behalf of the agency, for which CCAoVA seeks a locally-based candidate (the CCAoVA office is located in Midlothian, VA). In support of the regional network, occasional cross-regional travel may also be necessary.
