COST MANAGER Position Duties: Analyze project requirements, specifications, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates post bid award. Prepare and update cost estimate as the design develops from concept to construction level drawing & specification. Work with project manager and stakeholders to develop budgets for project commencement. Responsible for responding to RFP and RFI and assess project cost impacts to prepare change order proposals. Analyze and evaluate actual and forecasted costs against budget and develop cost reports. Identify budget variances, recommend corrective actions, and identify cost saving opportunities. Evaluate price and material increases during project lifecycle and prepare cost increase proposal for owner. Evaluate bid proposals and quotes from subcontractors and vendors. Monitor vendor and subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to cost agreements. Responsible for vendor and subcontractor invoice review and approval. Identify and assess potential risks that could impact project costs. Prepare and present cost and budget reports to management and stakeholders. Conduct cost-benefit analysis for various project options or decisions. Work with Engineers, Architects, Owners, Contractors and Subcontractors on estimate changes and adjustments. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Maintain detailed records of cost estimates, budgets, and actual expenditures. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures. Attend pre-bid and pre-construction meetings. Position Requirements: Five (5) years of experience or demonstrated knowledge in the following: Estimating projects more than $25M. Estimating mass excavation and utility projects, stormwater, bridges, treatment plants, pumping stations. AutoCAD, Bluebeam, HCSS & Agtek, Primavera P6, MS Office ***The position requires occasional domestic travel to job sites for pre-bid conferences, 1-2 days per month.
