Our core strength lies in our proprietary Software-as-a-Service embedded refund protection platform, which delivers massive distribution and a best-in-class digital purchase experience to insurance carriers, event booking and ticketing platforms, and consumers. Role Overview: The Business Development Representative (BDR) mission at Protecht is twofold: generating a new logo pipeline for the GTM organization and serving as the talent pipeline for the next generation of Account Executives (AEs) within the organization. As a crucial contributor to the GTM team, your primary day-to-day responsibility will be to generate a sales pipeline by delivering qualified leads and discovery meetings for the New Logo Sales team. You will work closely with AEs to target prospect accounts, find/assess fit, and generate excitement/interest among prospects in pursuit of sales discovery conversations. You will be expected to conduct account/contact research, manage a territory/ICP of accounts, conduct qualification, generate interest among prospects, and broker introductions between AEs and prospective clients. The outbound BDR role is a great fit for candidates looking to accelerate their careers quickly and eventually become Account Executives. This role will give you a crash course in Protecht’s product offerings and allow you to master the suite of tools in our GTM tech stack. The ideal candidate is fiercely determined, fanatical about our mission, a good human, and has a winning mentality. Responsibilities: Generate new business pipeline primarily through prospecting outbound opportunities (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, Social) Manage inbound leads that are driven by outbound effort Nurture early-stage opportunities Gain interest through outbound cold calling into net new logos in assigned territory / ICP Partner with AE’s to identify and source net new pipeline and assist by researching ICPs and personas Execute an Account-Based go-to-market motion where you will strategically work high-value accounts while balancing coverage through higher volume activity across mid-market accounts Prioritize and organize the lead pipeline in the CRM for maximum efficiency daily Develop a strong knowledge of Protecht’s suite of products and a unique POV on the experience economy Stay up to date with the competitive environment - adding to Battlecards when new data points are discovered Participate in ongoing professional development and advance professionally within Protecht Identify key decision makers within new affiliate partners and direct clients Requirements: University degree strongly preferred or equivalent job experience 1-2 years experience in business development, sales or related field experience Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You think out-of-the-box and wow people with your interesting angles and quality work Experience researching, account planning, prospecting, and cold calling into a large list of accounts that are a hybrid of net-new and existing install Proven track record of achieving sales metrics and consistent achievement of year-over-year quota attainment Familiar with digital experience economy desired but not essential Comfort with ambiguity. High sense of urgency and personal accountability. Dedication to what we’re building at Protecht. This is a remote position - travel to Protecht HQ in Phoenix, AZ, and team meetings are required as necessary. Travel required ~10% of the time.
