Volt is immediately hiring a Senior Quality Engineer in Erie, PA.As a Senior Quality Engineer you will:lead all new product introduction efforts and will be the OEM Quality Contact for Navistar, Mack, and Hino. Additionally, the ITAR Quality Engineer function will be included. Responsibilities follow:* Establishment of quality engineering disciplines during the development phases of the product to ensure that quality objectives are met.* Engineer, document, communicate and/or implement quality deliverables as defined by internal procedures, customer requirements, and industry standards for assigned, advanced program commodities. o Reporting of NPI status and issues that may directly or indirectly lead to the detriment of quality or financial performance of the assigned advanced program commodities.* Work with Suppliers, Customers to communicate quality issues for assigned responsibilities. o 8-D's,8-Steps, PPSR's, 5 Whys, DMN's, Quality Alerts* Work on setting up and monitoring program PPAPs submission level (1,2,3,4 or 5) o Design Records o Engineering Change Documents o Customer Engineering Approvals o Design FMEAs o Process Flow (Prototype, Launch & Production) o Process FMEA (Prototype, Launch & Production) o Control Plan (Prototype, Launch & Production) o Measurement System Analysis o Dimensional Results (Including Gage R&R reports in MinTab) o Records of material and Performance Test Results o Initial Process studies (Prototype, Launch & Production) o Qualified Laboratory Documentation o Appearance Approvals (AAR) o Sample Product o Master Samples o Checking Aids o Customer Specific Requirements o PPAP Warrent* Review and concurrence of influential engineering inputs to assigned advanced program commodities to verify that expectations of requirements and workmanship are demonstrated. * Review, disposition, and documented communication of discrepancies for supplier sample submissions of new or changed, advanced program materials. * Coordination and preparation of required inputs and outputs to ensure that customer product; material, and documentation submissions are accurate, timely and complete. * Document all activities as required. * Position requires compliance with the Technology Control Plan and the Federal Export Control Policy established for the Corporation.This is a Full time Direct Hire opportunity Required Experience:4-year engineering degree preferred or equivalent industry quality experience.Previous quality experience is a must, including experience/knowledge with Six Sigma, Excel; including good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interact with employees within all levels of the organization as well as customer representatives.Experience with the following: MS Office, JD Edwards, GageTrakEquipment knowledge: Micrometers, Comparator, Calipers, Multimeter, GaugesSalary Range $90,000-$100,000*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
