Your involvement in sales and margin forecasts, promotional performance analysis, inventory management, and vendor relationships will play a critical role in obtaining goals while maintaining PetSmart's reputation in the market as a trusted partner to pet parents. About the Location Hybrid Position: This position may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart's FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can be required to come onsite between 1-5 days a week as determined by leadership and based on business needs. About the Job SUMMARY This position will be responsible for managing vendor production for PetSmart's Proprietary Brands. In this role you will be responsible for working with vendors and internal partners delivering on key supply chain metrics. In addition, supporting inventory, finished goods production, material planning, ordering, and projections for vendors and Packaging Suppliers to ensure optimal in stocks. Provides effective project management for key business growth and productivity improvement initiatives with vendors. Act as a liaison and point of contact between key vendors and the functional departments within the operating groups. Work with internal teams including transportation, DC's and MP&A. Manage run out plans for discontinued items, and initial buys for new items. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to: Support and analyze operations and supply chain execution of our external manufacturing sites including measuring performance tracking KPIs and holding regular reviews with our key internal partners including MP&A, Product Development, and Brand Management to ensure consistent performance. Analyze manufacturing best practices within facilities and look to implement these practices into the key strategic contract manufacturers. Responsible for supporting the operational management of our external contract manufacturing network while ensuring alignment to strategic goals and objectives of our supply chain. Help support overall proprietary brand production management strategy Help to optimize the flow of inventory from receipt of raw materials to deployment of finished goods; drive inventory accuracy and real time visibility to production. Ensure raw material, packaging, and finished good suppliers meet on time delivery and supply demands Work between internal stakeholders and supplier to develop accurate demand forecast and timely production scheduling for both domestic and international suppliers. Responsible for analyzing and measuring performance tracking KPIs and holding regular reviews with our key partners including MP&A, Product Development, and Brand to ensure consistent performance Ensure Aid in tracking of packaging, production planning, PO shortages, and inventory. Collaborate with MP&A, Brand and co-manufacturers to minimize packaging and finished good inventory when rationalizing. Ensure in stock of packaging and finished goods in accordance with reset timelines. Analyze manufacturing best practices within facilities and look to implement these practices into the key strategic Contract Manufacturers EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience in a related field Position Qualifications A team player; able to use strong communication, analytical and management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Organization and planning Negotiation and Contract Experience Continuous Improvement skills Must be results-focused Excellent Analytical skills Flexible and customer service oriented Superior problem-solving skills and the ability to think "outside the box".
