Site Reliability Engineer - Grafana Observability (Contract)

This contractor position will help accelerate the transition. Key Responsibilities: Work with Service owners and Observability leaders to design strategy of getting the technology stack monitored in Grafana Boot strap the initial ingestion by deploying telegraf + exporters (if needed) and using discovery to ingest data into Grafana mimir. Boot strap the initial alerting by writing alert rules and using self service to enable alerting in grafana Boot strap the initial dashboards to verify health / capacity of service Hand over to service owner by providing documentation and training as needed. Requirements 3+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer using the Grafana platform Expertise in Grafana specifically dashboarding best practices, writing promql to create widgets / alert rules. Expertise in Grafana Mimir or equivalent (Thanos / Cortex) Expertise in Prometheus Expertise in Telegraf Expertise in ansible specifically writing playbooks and using it to deploy and configure services Expertise using git (gitlab) to follow self services as code Broad expertise in various technology stacks and how to transition monitoring of stacks to Grafana ecosystem.
